Practice
Recently we have hit a bit of a snag when it comes to our rituals and regular practices. Coco is getting ready for an upcoming piano recital and she has yet to memorize the piece. After a week of jet lag, my body has finally caught up and I no longer awake at 5am which is both good and bad. It's easy to surrender to the easy path and yet it takes the better part of a month to realize consistent and proactive patterns.
The secret is to start small. Perhaps you begin your day with three deep breaths and this becomes your dedicated self-help practice each morning. Soon enough you will find your conscious mind realizing that if something as simple as a deep breath can help regulate your nervous system, it'll start seeking other activities and customs to emphasize inner peace and tranquillity.
Start small.
